A fierce commitment to two ingredients

Gyokuro and water. When the materials are exceptional, little needs to be added and simplicity becomes the ultimate form of elegance. We are uncompromising in this devotion and each batch undergoes a patient extraction process to experience the purity of the leaves with no distractions.

Gyokuro is the only tea in the world whose identity and character are entirely Japanese. It grows in the dark which concentrates amino acids for deep umami, and creates a tender cell structure. Only the most vibrant leaves from the tea plant are destined for drinking, and we harvest the top two young buds once per year, during spring.

In place of synthetic stabilizers and pesticides, we amplify and invest in nature’s own defenses. Our soils, enriched over centuries with phosphorus-rich minerals, sustain leaves of remarkable vitality. We don’t stop here. Every year we test and certify our farms whose craft produces the teas that shape our expressions — and teas that naturally preserve themselves. Rich in antimicrobial qualities, Gyokuro safeguards its own integrity, remaining alive, vibrant, and pure.
