Singularly dedicated to hand picked Gyokuro
Growing in the dark reduces the leaves' rate of photosynthesis, boosting chlorophyll and mineral levels, and amino acids. It also distinguishes Circadian from all other teas, coaxing its finest qualities from the shade into the light.
We harvest only once per year, and only the top ten to twelve centimeters of the healthiest young buds—unlike teas that go through multiple flushes, which can result in a less refined flavor.
Dark
The plant spends the last three weeks of its pre-harvest life under canopies. In the first two weeks, 80 percent of the light is removed; in the last, darkness reaches 95 percent.
Mineral levels
Tea plants naturally contain Vitamins B and C, along with EGCG catechins, which serve as a defence against UV exposure. When we consume these healthy plants, the very compounds that protected the leaves and absorbed the best nutrition from organic, pesticide-free soil, now help repair our damaged cells.
Once per year
For the rest of the year, the plant is left to recover and replenish its nutrients. We use organic, wild-fish-based fertilizer to nourish the leaves and roots, ensuring they remain strong in the absence of light.

Circadian is characterized by an electric green color and rich, layered velvety mouthfeel. It is naturally sweet without bitterness, and has delicate oceanic undertones and a beautiful umami coating.
